👑His Imperial Royal Majesty Prof. Dr. Amb. Mwami Ezeudo Mayongo Lubelo MELEK YSPH Mpembe II

 🏛 A Throne Restored, A Destiny Rekindled

Born on 11 July 1972, HIRM King Mayongo Lubelo MELEK YSPH Mpembe II, also known as Mdlaedwa Cheelo, descends from the sacred bloodline of King Leba, progenitor of the Thabethe royal house. He is a direct heir to a throne that traces its roots to the Mpembe Continental Royal Kingdom, first established in the year 500 AD. His coronation, held on 23 April 2022 in Bluegumbosch, Phuthaditjhaba, marked the end of over 1,400 years of dormancy. His crowning signaled not only the restoration of kingship, but the rebirth of a nation.

A Royal Seal with Eternal Significance

 SYMBOLIC MEANINGS

  1. Leopard (Centerpiece)
Symbol of Royal Authority, Strength & Watchfulness.
In many African traditions, especially among Bantu and Central African kingdoms, the leopard symbolizes the king—bold, feared, graceful, and wise. It represents leadership, stealth, and protective dominion.

  2. Crown (Above Leopard)
Symbol of Imperial Sovereignty and Sacred Anointing.
The crown reflects Mwami Mayongo’s elevated royal status—His Imperial Royal Majesty—not just as a traditional leader, but as a globally recognized monarch of high honour.

  3. Spears (Crossed on both sides)
    Protection, Defence, and Warrior Nobility.
The spears emphasize his role as a guardian of heritage, justice, and his people. They declare vigilance, readiness, and strength to uphold his ancestral responsibilities.

  4. Zulu-Inspired Shields (On each flank)
    Cultural Heritage, Identity, and Unity.
These shields signify ethnic nobility and traditional African power. They embody the defence of cultural integrity, tribal pride, and indigenous royalty.

  5. Scrollwork & Flourishes (Golden Vine Patterns)
    Elegance, Wisdom, and Royal Flourishing.
These decorative vines symbolise legacy, continuity of royal lineage, and the intellectual and spiritual growth of his realm.

👑 Royal Motto: “Royal by Birth, Global by Assignment.”

🔹 “Royal by Birth”

This phrase affirms his divine and ancestral inheritance. It speaks to his birthright as a descendant of King Leba, from the ancient Thabethe royal lineage—an identity not conferred by men, but by the sovereign call of bloodline, legacy, and destiny. From the womb, he was set apart—born wrapped in cloth, a sign of sacred selection. His royalty is not political; it is eternal, indigenous, and ordained.

🔹 “Global by Assignment”

This declares his expansive mission beyond borders. As a Diplomatic Special Envoy, Peace Ambassador, and Pan-African monarch, King Mpembe II sees his calling not confined to one kingdom—but extended to nations, kingships, humanitarian arenas, and global platforms.
Whether at the United Nations, Sudanese refugee camps, or inter-royal treaties, he is a bridge between tradition and transformation, tasked with bringing African wisdom to global leadership.

🕊 Symbolism in Unity

This motto binds identity with purpose:
He is a King by heritage, but a servant by commission.
He rules from the throne, yet walks among the people.
He preserves ancestral honor, yet leads with modern vision.

It is a creed of kingship that is rooted in heritage and soaring toward global impact.
